The Brief

For this project, I created another social media reel animation for Merz Aesthetics, but this time for a different event, taking place in Majorca. Similar to the previous project in Stockholm, this animation was part of a larger campaign to market their medical aesthetics products and the key event details. The aim was to highlight important event dates, hashtags, and other relevant information in a fun and engaging way. However, this time the event focused on Merz’s turquoise branding colour palette, which I integrated into the design to keep it fresh and aligned with their brand aesthetic for this particular campaign.

The Process

I started by reviewing the core branding materials, this time incorporating the turquoise colour palette that Merz Aesthetics uses for this specific event. Just like in the previous project, I used their impactful, high-quality product imagery featuring models with their products. I combined these visuals with bold, contrasting colours from the turquoise palette, and paired them with quick, snappy animations. The style remained fast-paced, bouncy, and playful to keep the content engaging, but this time the colour scheme helped make the design feel distinctly different from the earlier campaign. I also made sure to integrate the essential event details – dates, hashtags, and location – into the animation in an easy-to-read yet lively format, ensuring the branding stood out. Once again, Adobe After Effects was used for animation, and I included a logo animation to bring the brand’s identity to life.

The Result

The final animation was sleek, modern, and maintained the luxurious feel of the Merz Aesthetics brand, while incorporating the fun and energetic vibe of the campaign. The turquoise colour palette helped distinguish this event from the previous one, while still adhering to their overall branding. The animation communicated key event details clearly and effectively, engaging the audience with vibrant visuals and dynamic motion. The animation worked seamlessly with the full suite of assets produced for the Majorca event, and the logo animation ensured that the brand was prominently featured.

The Reflection

Through this project, I was able to refine my skills further in motion design, particularly in terms of creating animations that balance strong branding with engaging visuals. The shift to the turquoise colour palette presented a new challenge in terms of colour coordination and design, but it was an exciting opportunity to explore a different side of Merz Aesthetics’ visual identity. I found the process to be just as enjoyable as the previous project and continued to enjoy learning new techniques in Adobe After Effects. The quick-paced nature of the project also taught me how to work efficiently while still producing high-quality work. Overall, this was another rewarding project that enhanced my skills and added another successful piece to my portfolio.
